ROGER HEWETT: Ballet Elite

Ballet Élite is a unique full length CD of 37 orchestrated "exercise-length" original compositions for intermediate/advanced ballet classes, composed and performed by pianist Roger Hewett. Performed initially on the familiar piano, and with a 'preparation' before each track, the music is primarily of a traditional classical style (although there are a few surprises) and is easy to feel and count.

With 37 unrepeated tracks of original, orchestrated music for ballet class, Ballet Elite is the first of a series of CDs of refreshingly uplifting melodies from the pen and piano of Roger Hewett.

Performed initially on piano, each piece starts with a preparation which is easy to feel and count. The orchestrations add a new dimension, giving richness and depth to the music and drawing the dancers towards a more musically inspired performance.
