ROGER HEWETT: Ballet Fantastique

After the unprecedented success of ballet Élite, which is now distributed worldwide, its sister CD, entitled Ballet Fantastique is following proudly in it's footsteps. Containing 40 tracks of original, orchestrated music (over 62 mins), this new CD is based on the same concept as ballet Élite. With 18 tracks for Barre, 11 for Centre and 11 beautiful variations in varying moods and tempi, styled after famous composers. Perfect for presentations and performance. An improvement over the Élite  CD: the liner notes contain more detailedl descriptions of counts, rhythm and style. If you enjoyed ballet Élite,  you will love this one.

Performed initially on piano, each piece starts with a preparation which is easy to feel and count. The orchestrations add a new dimension, giving richness and depth to the music and drawing the dancers towards a more musically inspired performance.
